On the episode of One Takes, a new show from The Cine-Files, hosts Steve Morris and John Rocha dive in deep to discuss ONCE, an Irish romantic musical drama film written and directed by John Carney. The film stars the late Glen Hansard, who we recently lost in a tragic accident, and Markéta Irglová as two struggling musicians in Dublin, Ireland. Hansard and Irglová composed and performed the film's original songs.The song "Falling Slowly" won the 2007 Oscar for Best Original Song. It was a critical and box office success that appeared on the Top 10 lists of numerous film critics. Steve and John spend 90 minutes discussing the movie.
