1784: "If Creation Is Play of Brahman, Why all the Suffering?" | Bhakti-Vedānta and Līlā

If creation is God's play, why do we suffer? It's one of the oldest questions in philosophy — and the Srimad Bhagavatam answers it through the Rāsa Līlā. A full cup doesn't drink. It overflows. Krishna doesn't enjoy with the gopīs the way we pursue romance — trying to fill something missing. He's imparting what's already overflowing. We're different. When we try to enjoy others, we're trying to enjoy what was never ours. Raghunath and Kaustubha explore that distinction alongside one of the deepest questions in Vedic thought — and the answer that only bhakti can give.
