Join Tim Kanak (@FantasyAceball) and Owen Hurd (@Owen_FBB) as they break down Tim's T-10 MLB Prospects of the Week, highlighting the hottest performers from across the minors and discussing what these breakout performances mean for dynasty baseball managers and future MLB impact.
Week 13 features an exciting mix of rising pitching prospects, breakout hitters, and several Top 100 names continuing their climb toward the major leagues.
1. Henry LaLane, SP, Yankees (Prospect Rank: Top 400)
LaLane tops this week's list after another dominant outing, striking out 12 without issuing a walk while allowing just one hit. The Yankees left-hander has transformed his season by leaning heavily on a devastating sweeper and changeup combination that's generating elite swing-and-miss rates.
2. Brady Smith, SP, Dodgers (Top 300)
Another Dodgers pitching gem. Smith punched out 11 over six scoreless innings while showcasing one of the best changeups in the minor leagues. After returning from Tommy John surgery, the former third-round pick is beginning to realize his enormous upside.
3. Cam Cannarella, OF, Marlins (Top 250)
Cannarella continues to hit his way toward Miami with another huge week featuring three home runs, three stolen bases, and four extra-base hits. His advanced hit tool and on-base ability continue to stand out as he climbs through Double-A.
4. Dylan Brown, SP, Red Sox (Top 300)
One of the most underrated pitching breakouts in baseball, Brown dominated once again with 11 strikeouts over seven shutout innings. His deceptive fastball, sweeping slider, and advanced command profile him as a future mid-rotation starter.
5. Fenwick Trimble, OF, Marlins (Top 500)
Trimble keeps proving he's more than just an athlete, hitting .400 with six extra-base hits, two homers, and two stolen bases. The power/speed combination is beginning to translate into game production.
6. Christian Zazueta, SP, Dodgers (Top 250)
The Dodgers continue to churn out pitching talent. Zazueta's deceptive low-slot delivery and outstanding command produced another dominant performance, allowing just one hit while striking out eight in his Double-A debut.
7. Felnin Celesten, SS, Mariners (Prospect Rank: #97)
One of baseball's Top 100 prospects is finally beginning to unlock his power. Celesten hit .391 with six extra-base hits, two home runs, and a stolen base while continuing to show why many evaluators believe he possesses All-Star upside.
8. Max Anderson, 2B, Tigers (Top 200)
A pure hitter knocking on the door of Detroit. Anderson batted .522 with five extra-base hits and two home runs and could make his major league debut later this season.
9. Braylon Doughty, SP, Guardians (Prospect Rank: #106)
Doughty continues to dominate High-A behind arguably the best curveball in the minor leagues. The undersized right-hander pairs elite command with outstanding spin and another scoreless outing to continue his breakout campaign.
10. Briggs McKenzie, SP, Braves (Top 250)
One of the youngest arms on this week's list, McKenzie flashed premium upside with eight strikeouts while featuring a devastating curveball and changeup combination. The Braves may have another future frontline starter developing.
