Asian stocks dropped as a semiconductor selloff deepened, with investors retreating from one of the year's hottest trades amid elevated bond yields and geopolitical uncertainty. MSCI's Asia Pacific equities benchmark slid 2%, with South Korean shares dropping 5.5%. Chip bellwethers Samsung Electronics Co. and SK Hynix Inc. both declined over 7%, tracking a semiconductor selloff on Wall Street. Kioxia Holdings Corp. plunged 9% in Tokyo. And - Pony AI Inc.'s robotaxi sales reached a quarterly high, now accounting for a third of total revenue, with overseas momentum continuing to accelerate. Overall sales in the second-quarter climbed 69% to $36.2 million, while robotaxi revenue surged to $12.1 million from $1.5 million, according to a Tuesday filing.
