On July 15, 1992, Rachel Nickell was walking her dog with her two-year-old son, Alex, in a secluded area of Wimbledon Common. She was brutally assaulted and murdered in broad daylight. Her toddler son, who survived the attack unharmed, was later found clinging to her body. This is the story of how the case was eventually solved.
