The Phillies' No. 5 starter problem

Two innings into Sunday’s series finale against the Mets, you just knew the Phillies had lost.

But then that’s how it’s been for the Phillies’ No. 5 starter this year. The Phillies are 5-20 in games started by anybody NOT named Cristopher Sánchez, Zack Wheeler, Jesús Luzardo and Aaron Nola this season. Those pitchers have a combined 7.33 ERA.

The Phillies’ No. 5 starter spot hasn’t won a game since May 18!
