What the ... ? Phillies' base running blunders sink them vs. LA

What in the world happened to the Phillies on Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park?

The Phillies made a couple base running blunders in the ninth inning in a 2-1 loss. Was the contact play on? Don Mattingly said Justin Crawford was supposed to run on any ball hit. Crawford said he wasn’t. But then J.T. Realmuto exercised a lapse in judgment and inexplicably got thrown out at second to end the game.

Trea Turner showed what he can do defensively on Tuesday. He’s been showing what he can do offensively for more than a month. Zack Wheeler loves strikeouts again.
