What if Stannis Baratheon SAVED Ned Stark

As his guard departs, Ned takes a deep breath and prepares himself for what is to come next. He has done all he can to prepare himself for the coming confrontation between him and Cersei Lannister. But he knows he is badly outnumbered and has few friends in the capital.

With Robert dead, his hope for protection comes only with the Baratheon of Dragonstone. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t try and secure the throne while he can.
