In my kitchen this week I’m joined by the Co-Founders of Absolute Collagen, Maxine and Darcy Laceby, to talk about the journey of building one of the UK’s leading collagen brands from the ground up.
Founded in 2015, Absolute Collagen was created long before collagen became the wellness buzzword we know today. Back then, we weren’t adding collagen to coffees, smoothies and chocolate bars, Maxine and Darcy were truly ahead of the curve.
In this episode, Maxine shares how her own experience of drinking bone broth and noticing the benefits sparked the idea for the brand, and how the mother-daughter duo went on to create a business focused on helping women feel their best from the inside out.
Maxine is the emotion and purpose behind the brand and Darcy is the science, to which there is plenty of science. Absolute Collagen is expert backed, it has been peer-reviewed and placebo-controlled which in today's environment is an important point to note.
We talk about entrepreneurship, taking risks, building a brand with purpose, and why investing in yourself and your wellbeing matters at every age.
We dive into the different types of collagen and also the different ways you can take it to ensure that whichever collagen you decide to take you know that it will work and be effective.
If you want to make sure you are taking the right collagen, this episode is for you
